Homo ludens

Homo ludens, or "the playing human," is a concept introduced by cultural theorist Johan Huizinga, highlighting play as a fundamental aspect of human culture. This view proposes that play is not only a leisure activity but a primary driver of creativity, learning, and social development. In play, humans explore rules, roles, and freedom, creating a space for innovation, ritual, and expression.
